[1343] Nature, books, music, love, silence

Ieri mattina ho aperto la posta e ci ho trovato tre superlativi aforismi che mi ha mandato il mio amico Marco, che ringrazio.

Li copio qui per voi, perche' sono manifesti di saggezza, da tenere sempre con noi:

“A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul”.
― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor — such is my idea of happiness”.
― Leo Tolstoy, Family Happiness

My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music, and silence”.
― Edith Sitwell.
