Lo scrive Maria Popova all'interno della sua newsletter The Marginalian (titolo meraviglioso). Condivido quello che ha scritto, e lo estendo alla mia esperienza di ascolto.

Quando mi avvicino alla musica pubblicata oggi fatico a trovare l'eterna freschezza (quasi un ossimoro) dei dischi migliori della mia collezione. E quindi perdo rapidamente interesse.

Di conseguenza, passo sempre più tempo negli archivi. Solo una questione di età che avanza? Oppure c'è qualcosa di oggettivo nel presente che provoca questo bisogno di passato?
